Ankura Hospital Launches ‘Prep and Push’ Program to Empower Expecting Mothers

Blending Knowledge and Compassion – A New Path for Every Mother’s Journey

Ankura Hospital for Women and Children, a leading healthcare provider specializing in maternal and child care, has launched its new initiative — the ‘Prep and Push’ Education Program — at its state-of-the-art facility in Hyderabad. This specially designed program aims to empower expectant mothers by equipping them with the knowledge and confidence needed throughout their pregnancy and birthing journey. This initiative reflects Ankura Hospital’s continued commitment to providing not just clinical care but holistic support for women.

This Prep and Push program is thoughtfully designed to support the physical, emotional, and informational needs of expectant mothers through a structured four-step approach. It begins with preparation for labour, guiding mothers with effective breathing techniques, posture corrections, and relaxation methods. The second step helps them understand the birth process, breaking common myths and clearly explaining each stage of delivery. The third step focuses on mental and emotional readiness, assisting mothers to cope with anxiety, stress, and emotional changes through expert counseling. The final step provides postpartum guidance, covering recovery tips, lactation support, and early newborn care, ensuring a smoother transition into motherhood.

Speaking about the initiative Dr. Krishna Prasad Rao Vunnam, Founder and Managing Director of Ankura Hospital, said: “We are proud to introduce the ‘Prep and Push’ education program at our Hyderabad facility—an initiative designed to educate, reassure, and empower expecting mothers. At Ankura, we believe that informed care is the foundation of safe motherhood. This program reflects our commitment to not just treat, but to support mothers every step of the way—emotionally, physically, and with empathy.”

The ‘Prep and Push’ program reflects Ankura Hospital’s commitment to empowering mothers through education and compassionate care. By combining clinical support with emotional preparedness, the initiative is helping redefine the pregnancy journey. With its growing presence across centers, the program continues to make a meaningful difference in maternal well-being.
